Redeployment of industry staff

It is imperative that we protect and maintain our staff to ensure that they are willing and able to pick up the reigns and be back on the job once the COVID-19 subsides. Therefore, we are partnering with and also, supporting HospitalityUnite to redeploy hospitality staff.

A jobs hub that curates job roles that are likely to match the skills of hospitality workers, so that people who want to continue work during the COVID-19 crisis are able to do so.

Our online learning platform that provides access to learning, wellbeing and personal development resources for furloughed employees. Users will be able to access a library of knowledge and keep a record of their achievements online. With over 4,000 registered users, from over 2,400 business, the platform is helping hospitality staff further careers.

Courses on the platform include; coffee skills, conflict management, personal resilience beer styles and more. Plus, a library of valuable information. The most recent addition to our resources includes a series of podcasts developed by nowpause. The initiative focuses on staying positive, relaxation and living less stressfully.

HIT Training - Training on the Principles of Infection Control and Safe Working

Keeping customers and workforce safe is going to be a top priority during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. To support, HIT Training are offering hospitality businesses one complimentary place on their new comprehensive training course- 'Principles of Infection Control and Safe Working'. The four-hour tutor-led online course will provide front-line employees with a solid, working foundation to control and prevent the spread of infection in the workplace. 

The course will give learners the skills to understand the chain of infection and how to break it, methods of protecting themselves and others (including customers) against infection, correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and how to implement infection prevention and control procedures safely.
