The Government has released its roadmap outlining how it will deliver the Employment Rights Bill.

With the reforms taking effect from April 2026 and rolled out in stages through to 2027, Westminster Insight’s Employment Rights Bill Conference is ideally timed for business leadersemployersHR, and legal teams to gain insight into the reforms and start proactively preparing for the changes.

Westminster Insight will take a deep dive into the timeline for implementation, and the Department for Business and Trade will provide clarity on the key changes to employment law including:

  • Reforms due come into effect in April 2026 – changes to the collective redundancy protective award, Statutory Sick Paypaternity and parental leave, improved whistleblowing protections, and the establishment of the Fair Work Agency.
  • Employment legislation due for implementation in October 2026 – new trade union measures, a duty to prevent third party sexual harassment, and ending fire and rehire.
  • Employment law coming into enforcement in 2027  ‘Day 1’ right to unfair dismissal, ending exploitative zero hours contracts, access to flexible working, gender pay gap and menopause action plans, and enhanced rights for pregnant women and new mothers.

Hear about what changes employers will need to make to contractspoliciesIT and payroll systems, and recruitment and onboarding processes. Explore what training your staff, managers, and employees will need and how to allocate time and resources to comply with new legislation.

With the potential for increases in grievances and disputes, we will explore changes to the enforcement landscape including the role of the new Fair Work Agency, changes to tribunal time limits, and where to find guidance and support as an employer.
