Behaviour we do not tolerate
We operate a zero-tolerance approach to behaviour that compromises the safety, dignity or wellbeing of others. This includes:

- Inappropriate contact or communications – including unwanted physical contact, persistent unwanted communications, inappropriate photography or recording, or inappropriate use of social media.
Responsible drinking
Where alcohol is served, we expect all guests to drink responsibly and maintain appropriate standards of conduct throughout the event.
Our team will monitor drinking behaviour and may intervene where there are concerns regarding excessive intoxication or a guest’s conduct.
Where appropriate, we may:
- Limit or cease alcohol service.
- Ask a guest to take a break from drinking.
- Provide water, food or other appropriate support.
- Assist with arrangements for a safe journey home.
- Contact a nominated person or emergency services where necessary.
- Ask a guest to leave the event where their level of intoxication or behaviour presents a safety concern (and where appropriate assist with arrangements for a safe journey home as above).
Alcohol consumption will never be considered an excuse for inappropriate, unacceptable or unsafe behaviour.
Reporting a concern
If you experience, witness or become aware of behaviour that may breach this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to a member of the UKHospitality team. You can also report any incident after the event by email to Jackie Marlow at [email protected].
All reports will be treated with confidentiality and taken seriously. Anyone undertaking retaliatory action (such as threats, intimidation or harassment) against those reporting concerns will be subject to removal from the premises and/or appropriate follow-up action as set out below.
Managing incidents
Our team is authorised to take reasonable and proportionate action where concerns arise. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- Reminding an individual of the expected standards of behaviour.
- Issuing a formal warning.
- Restricting or stopping alcohol service.
- Asking an individual to leave the event.
- Escalating the matter for further investigation following the event.
- Taking further organisational or contractual action where appropriate.

We reserve the right to remove any guest whose behaviour, level of intoxication or actions are considered unsafe or inappropriate.
Any decision to intervene or remove a guest will be made with safety and wellbeing as the primary consideration.
