Welsh Visitor Levy tracker

Local authorities in Wales now have the power to introduce a visitor levy in their area, after the Welsh Government passed new legislation.

A number of local authorities have already publicly expressed their interest in introducing a visitor levy, and we will be working hard to engage with these areas to ensure they understand the potential impact on business.

We have already begun to engage with councils and ensure members’ views are heard.

Exclusive guidance on the Welsh Visitor Levy

Members can exclusively read about the details of the levy, how a council would introduce one and what changes we secured throughout the process, in guidance produced by our expert policy team.
