Anthony Mayall is one of SE First’s joint Managing Directors. He started in the energy sector over 30 years ago as an electrical engineering apprentice and could be found at times in the depths of a hydro station’s inner workings building out switchgear and control systems. With his early years specialising in control systems and product development, this ultimately led him into commercial strategic roles – enabling businesses to thrive in the ever-changing energy and carbon landscape.

With hands-on experience from creating energy efficiency programs, to enabling on-site renewable energy generation, Anthony has a firm belief that you don’t have to sacrifice economics to be environmentally conscious.

Emma is the Chief Executive of the Climate Change Committee, the UK’s national climate advisor. The statutory body advises government and parliament on the country’s Carbon Budgets, Climate Change Risk Assessments and progress in delivery. The CCC also advises the devolved governments on their own climate change ambitions and carbon budgets.

Prior to this, Emma was Chief Executive of Energy UK, Deputy Chief Executive of Renewable UK, and Head of Climate and Energy at WWF-UK. Emma is an expert on energy and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute. She has held several advisory or board positions, and currently sits on the advisory board of the UK Energy Research Council (UKERC) and the board of UK:100. Emma lives in Gloucestershire, and shares childcare with her husband.

Raymond Gianotten is one of Europe’s most experienced leaders in Deposit Return Systems (DRS), with over two decades at the forefront of policy design, operational execution and international system implementation.

His career in EPR/DRS began in 2002 within the Dutch beverage trade association, where he quickly became a recognised expert in packaging and environmental policy. Early in his career, he co-designed and prepared the Dutch deposit system for large one-way PET bottles (2005–2006), leading to his appointment in 2007 as Managing Director of the Dutch deposit operator. Under his leadership, the Dutch DRS expanded to include small PET bottles (2021) and cans (2023). Between 2012 and 2018, he also served as Secretary General of the Dutch beverage association, combining operational leadership with strategic industry representation. Today, Raymond advises producers, DRS administrators, governments, and industry coalitions on the design, governance and optimisation of DRS. He supports full system development—from feasibility and policy frameworks to implementation, optimisation and performance improvement. His international work includes contributions to DRS development in various countries inside and outside Europe. Raymond is the author of Everything You Need to Know About DRS, now widely used as a foundational reference across the industry. He combines deep technical expertise with hands-on operational leadership and a clear strategic vision: building circular systems that perform in practice—not just on paper. Amy is currently Director of Investor Relations and Sustainability at Mitchells & Butlers plc. Starting her career as a finance professional, becoming a chartered accountant with Ernst and Young, Amy has added sustainability to her skillset and is now leading Mitchells and Butlers plc’s sustainability strategy alongside responsibility for investor relations. With over ten years’ experience within Mitchells and Butlers plc Amy’s role provides a unique opportunity to combine the internal drive for enhanced sustainability with the need to communicate progress and ambitions externally to an audience who are increasingly focused on ESG.

Tom Fiennes is Sustainability Director at Carlsberg Britvic, one of the UK's largest beverage companies. He leads the company's sustainability strategy and is responsible for driving progress across key priorities including climate action, circular packaging, water stewardship and biodiversity.

Tom has spent over five years working in sustainability, having previously built his career across FMCG sales, project management and business transformation. Following Carlsberg's acquisition of Britvic in 2025, he was appointed Sustainability Director for the newly combined Carlsberg Britvic business.

A graduate of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Tom has played a leading role in shaping industry preparedness for the UK's Deposit Return Scheme and works extensively with government, trade bodies and industry partners on circular economy policy and implementation.

Mark Holden (FBii) is Company Director of Inn Cornwall, a hospitality business he co-founded in 2010 after facing redundancy from a previous employer. Since then, Mark and his business partner have grown the company into a successful operator of food-led, St Austell Brewery tenanted pubs across Cornwall, employing more than 85 people and serving local communities through hospitality, skills development and community engagement.

A Fellow and Ambassador of the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII), Mark is a firm believer that pubs are far more than places to eat and drink. He champions their role as community hubs that provide employment, skills development, social connection, support networks and opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

A recognised BII Sustainability Champion, Mark is committed to demonstrating that sustainability and commercial success go hand in hand. Working closely with his teams across Inn Cornwall, he has adopted tools and frameworks including the Zero Carbon Toolkit to turn sustainability ambitions into practical action. By combining data, technology, and employee engagement, he has delivered measurable improvements while fostering a culture where team members actively contribute ideas to reduce waste, save energy, and improve environmental performance.

Tim is the CFO of Burger King UK and a member of the Hospitality Sector Council where he Chairs the Sustainability Committee.

Tim started his career in corporate finance advisory and has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality sector, predominantly in PE backed companies. Operating at board level in businesses ranging from £50m turnover to a lead role in the team that has grown Burger King to $1bn in the UK, Tim has a strong strategic and commercial background. His role at Burger King includes business strategy, finance, IT, procurement and responsible business

Mark Chapman is the founder and CEO of Zero Carbon Services and Zero Carbon Forum.
He first launched Zero Carbon Services as one of the UK’s earliest climate-tech and advisory businesses. Beginning with hospitality clients, he pioneered an approach to measure and reduce emissions by combining data analysis with behaviour change to cut carbon and costs. Inspired by watching An Inconvenient Truth in 2008, Mark believes the solutions to climate change will be led through business sectors collaborating to decarbonise together at pace.
The Zero Carbon Forum is a non-profit collaboration Mark established in 2020 with the support of UKH, BBPA and the sectors leading operators. It now works over 70 UK hospitality operators across 35,000 locations to build resilient, efficient brands – and to shift the sector as a whole - through credible climate action by sharing data, tools and best practice.
