Holiday tax scheme proposal – what to know

On 10th September, the Westminster Government published its response to the consultation on how to introduce a holiday tax, or overnight visitor levy (OVL). We have consistently campaigned against these proposals for a further tax on the sector, while simultaneously actively engaging on how a scheme might be designed to minimise the damage to the sector. We have expressed our disappointment and frustration with the Government’s response.
