In this webinar, Acas shared findings from its research into conflict prevalence at work, both across Great Britain and specific to the hospitality sector.
The research, conducted in summer 2025, found that two in five working-age adults in Great Britain reported experiencing conflict – the highest level of individual conflict ever reported in a survey of workers in Great Britain. This webinar shared the findings from the research, which brings fresh light to the causes of conflict and who is experiencing it, illustrating personal and organisational factors and industry differences.
Emily Starling is a senior research officer at Acas. She worked with Acas colleagues, National Centre for Social Research, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and independent researchers to develop a survey into conflict at work, exploring why this happens, how it affects people, and the steps they take to resolve it.
