At the end of January we held our annual Parliamentary reception to set out our asks ahead of the upcoming Budget.

We were delighted to welcome up to 40 parliamentarians from across parliament.

The reception was a fantastic opportunity to press the case to government ministers and parliamentarians on our key asks ahead of the Budget on 6 March. Thank you to the Chair of the Hospitality and Tourism APPG, Simon Jupp MP, for sponsoring the event.

Kevin Hollinrake, Minister for Small Business

The Minister recognised the importance of our sector to the economy & wider communities.
We wouldn’t have any public services without the private sector and the most important part is our SMEs. We need to support them.

Daniel Zeichner, Shadow Minister for Food

The Shadow Minister addressed the reception and spoke about the big decisions to be made ahead.
There are huge opportunities. There are lots of people who want to visit all parts of the UK.

Kate Nicholls, CEO UKHospitality

Our CEO spoke about the opportunities for the sector at our parliamentary reception today.

We can do even more. With the right support, we can generate six times more growth than anyone other sector into the economy.
