The AA’s Visitor Ready compliance accreditation marks 18 months of industry-wide success
Over a thousand hospitality businesses now proudly display the mark of trust that reassures guests they can visit with confidence.
Eighteen months after its launch, the AA’s Visitor Ready entry-level accreditation has received overwhelming support from across the hospitality industry. Thousands of businesses—spanning hotels, restaurants, attractions, self-catering, camping and more—are now showcasing their official Visitor Ready digital badge, signalling their dedication to health and safety and overall guest experience.
Introduced as a free digital accreditation, it is part of the AA’s modernisation of their assessment schemes, which streamlines the standards into three distinct categories: an entry-level compliance scheme (Visitor Ready), and then two quality tiers called Quality Assessed (no star rating) and Quality Star Rated (3 to 5 stars). This aims to provide enhanced clarity and understanding for businesses when deciding to be assessed.
Visitor Ready is designed to support and accredit businesses that put their customers first – starting with the basics: safety and wellbeing. By meeting the accreditation’s requirements, businesses earn a trusted mark that not only reassures visitors but also reinforces their own commitment to improving standards.
Key benefits for accredited businesses include:
Compliance made simple – clear guidance on required documentation and confirmation of validity.
Hands-on support – assistance with uploading multiple business details and relevant compliance records.
Never miss a renewal – A secure digital wallet that sends automatic reminders when documents are due for update.
Achieving the Visitor Ready accreditation is invaluable for our caravan parks and visitor attractions. It provides immediate reassurance to visitors that we uphold essential safety and operational standards. It clearly communicates our commitment to a safe and trusted experience, building crucial confidence for guests planning their holidays and days out in the Lake District.
