Pressing for action to help hospitality reach its potential
Action at Autumn Statement can help the hospitality sector to realise its potential, in turn delivering on Government’s key objectives of delivering economic growth and halving inflation.
We’re calling for measures to unlock investment, grow the sector and meet the demands of the public.
Our three aims at the Autumn Statement
In order to achieve our aims of unlocking investment, growing the sector and meeting the demands of the public, there are clear actions the Government need to take to help hospitality businesses do that.
Business rates, VAT, planning, workforce and capital allowances all form part of our asks of Government for the Autumn Statement.

Join us in calling for action by writing to your MP

Inflation to drop £864m business rates bombshell on hospitality
With the rate of inflation in September revealed as 6.7%, it is confirmed that the planned inflation-linked rise in April will cost hospitality businesses an additional £234 million.
Combined with the £630 million that the ending of rates relief would simultaneously represent, this combination would leave hospitality facing a huge £864 million in business rate costs next April.
