
APPGs are informal, cross-party groups formed by MPs and Members of the House of Lords who share a common interest in a particular policy area, region, or country.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Hospitality, Events, Major Food and Drink Businesses in Wales works to understand and promote the best of Welsh hospitality, events and food and drink, including the visitor economy.
UKHospitality is the secretariat for the APPG and the APPG plays an essential role in informing the government’s decision-making process and ensuring that the concerns and needs of Hospitality, Events, Major Food and Drink Businesses in Wales are heard by members of parliament.
The APPG's purpose
To understand the key opportunities and challenges facing Wales’s hospitality, events and food & drink sectors - from venues to catering, festivals to food & drink manufacturing.
To promote the best of what Wales offers: world-class visitor experiences, high-quality food & drink, vibrant events and thriving hospitality businesses.
To provide a platform for industry voices to engage with Parliament, government and stakeholders - facilitating dialogue, influencing policy and driving sustainable growth.
To champion the visitor economy, recognising its role in jobs, regional regeneration and Wales’s international reputation.
